04: Abstract Animation (3 weeks, After Effects)
Our First AE project was editing an animation to a song. I used the White Lotus Season 2 theme song for my project. I extracted my colors from the season’s main poster to ensure I stayed on theme. I wanted a sort of abstract theme, but one that also reinforced a tropical theme. The flowery things are made with an effect and I timed them to stay on beat. I think I was able to sucessfully bring my vision to life!
The first step for this project was to make storyboards and decide between three different audios. My three ideas were the White Lotus theme, the Office theme, and a dancing balls kind of animation like the bouncing fruit kid videos.
After playing around with my first two ideas, I ultimatley picked the White Lotus.
