05: Collaged Animation (3 weeks, After Effects)
For my final project, I wanted to create something with animals! This process involved a lot of scratching, starting over, and trying again. My ideas changed and evolved as my time constraints continued to get more inconvenient. It was an incredibly busy few weeks, so it did not necessarily turn out as I had hoped, but I still like the final product. I was able to get across the message I had hoped, even if it is not what I imagined originally.

This is my original deliverable before I began the assignment.
3 different ideas on the 3 storyboards. I had a lot of different ideas and different ways I planned to execute each one.

Here are some rough draft pieces that were not incorperated:
As you can see, I did not implement any of these ideas. My next rough draft was also different than the final:
This was fun to make but I did not feel like it was my best work. While I liked it, I decided to try again with a stronger message. This is when I pivoted to a David Attenborough sound, which involved almost an hour of listening to clips of him talking to try and find soung bites that felt important to me and powerful.
I utilized a video of him speaking to “world leaders” and then picked a song. I decided on an insturamental sound from the Lakes by Taylor Swift, which I felt like encompasses both the sadness and beauty of the message I aimed to portray.
